Championship Drinking

Even high profile athletes aren’t able to avoid taking embarrassing pictures. Here’s a photo of New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who was spotted at a party appearing completely intoxicated. Because of Manning’s appearance on the field, some have wondered if this photo was even showing him at his worst, or if he was just caught a bad moment. Either way, it’s fun to see multi-millionaires just as vulnerable to bad pictures.

Dance Party

Getting the attention of the girls at the club is hard enough, but then comes the actual dancing. Apparently, one man wasn’t quite prepared when someone finally accepted his offer. While it was probably just an awkward facial expression caught at the wrong time, it looks like there’s sheer horror in his face. The eyes don’t even look natural on this man, which might suggest there’s a little more than just a few beers at play in this club.

Little Help

After you’ve put on a few pounds, there are certain places that you can’t squeeze into anymore. Mel Ellis and her niece learned that the hard way when they thought they could get into a pair of swings that were designed for toddlers. Firemen had to be called in to cut the pair out, which took quite a bit of time. Ellis said that “I have recently put on a lot of weight, but didn’t think that much. I was well and truly stuck…We were both in there for about an hour. It was the most embarrassing then that has ever happened to me.”

The Most Notorious Rock n’ Roll Groupies Ever

A groupie is defined as “a person, especially a young woman, who regularly follows a pop music group or other celebrity in the hope of meeting or getting to know them.” Groupies are pretty much every industry with famous people and in every major city around the globe. Most groupies go wholly unknown, while some break the mold and gain notoriety either for their relationships with famous people, or for having already carved their own path before even hooking up with musicians. Out of the countless amount of groupies that rock n’ roll music has seen, here are some of the most notorious that really stood out.

Tawny Kitaen

Once a struggling actress, Tawny Kitaen basically became a household name in the 1980s thanks to her appearances in Whitesnake music videos; especially “Here I Go Again” where she’s strutting her stuff on top of a car hood. She would eventually end up marrying Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale, but was well versed with musicians before then. She had been involved with Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby as early as high school, and followed the band around when they became famous before she met Coverdale. She even had an affair with O.J. Simpson and married former MLB pitcher Chuck Finley.

Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson was already famous before she was known for her relationships with rock n’ rollers. Anderson was a Playboy Playmate that had become well-known for her modeling and acting, including in “Baywatch”. In 1995 after knowing each other for just about four days, Anderson married Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. They would divorced in 1998, but she wasn’t done with rockers as she got married to Kid Rock in 2006, getting divorced in 2007.

Surprising Facts About Forrest Gump You Didn’t Know

A Hollywood classic, “Forrest Gump” is one of those movies where for people that have seen it, they’ve probably seen it multiple times. Tom Hanks stars in this fictional recollection of an American hero throughout his life and all of the incredible things he did despite being considered slow. For fans of this American film standby, here are 50 things that you might not have known about the successful movie and its production.

Almost Not Tom

Tom Hanks wasn’t the first choice to play the historical role of Forrest Gump. Instead, he was the fourth choice with John Travolta being the top pick. After Travolta turned down the role, it was Bill Murray and Chevy Chase that also turned down offers. Thankfully, Hanks eventually became Forrest Gump, and it’s hard to imagine anyone else in the role.

And Almost Not Bubba

Forrest’s friend that he meets in the Vietnam War, Benjamin Buford “Bubba” Blue, was a role that wasn’t first offered to Mykelti Williamson. Instead, David Alan Grier, Ice Cube and Dave Chappelle were all offered the role. Ice Cube turned it down harshly, saying he didn’t want to play someone disabled and thought the movie would be a financial disaster. As for Chappelle, he says he wishes he would have taken the role.

Pictures From North Korea That You’ve Never Seen Before

North Korea is a mystery to many of us, especially those of us in the west. It’s estimated that only around 5,000 people from the west visit North Korea on a yearly basis, so many don’t know what the country looks like at all. The preconceived notion that we all have in our minds is that North Korea is very desolate with no sense of joy. Is that really the case, though? Let’s take a look at some of the photos that tourists and photographers alike have captured of North Korea that might surprise you.

Rural Areas

Outside of the large city areas, you’ll find many of the citizens of North Korea. It’s estimated that around 40 percent of the citizens live in these areas, making the larger cities much more of a tourist destination.

Dolphin Show

Kim Jong-un made it so that Pyongyang would have an aquarium with performing dolphins, even if it meant spending a lot of money. Many of the visitors to the aquarium are actually soldiers during their downtime, and they’re not allowed to be photographed at the aquarium. This photographer was able to sneak in a picture as many of them look on in amusement at the dolphins performing.

Why The Boeing 787 Dreamliner Really Is A Dream Come True

Boeing is the undisputed king of commercial aircraft, with well over a quarter of the current fleet being built by the US based company. The most popular type is the 737, which has several variants that dominate the market. One of the more recent entries by Boeing has been the 787, but only a total of 625 have been built so far with around 550 in service. If you want to fly in one, there’s a good chance you have to leave the United States with just 32 based in America. However, it’s going to be worth the trip, and here are reasons why the Boeing 787 Dreamliner makes for an amazing ride.

Going Up

Hopefully you’ll never have to be in a plane that needs to commit to a vertical takeoff, but just know that the Boeing 787-9 is capable of doing so. In a video that went viral in 2015, the 787 is seen taking off at a very steep incline while it was preparing to show off for the Paris Air Show. This type of technique is used for emergencies (and showing off) only, though.

Celebrities That Served in the Military

According to estimates, around seven percent of all living Americans have served time in the military, while just 0.4 percent of the population is currently in the military. Your chances of becoming famous (again, according to estimates) is just 0.0086. This means that the average person that not only served in the military but also went on to become famous is just 0.0034 percent.

As you can tell, that’s a pretty miniscule percent of the population. However, there might be more people that have served their country and achieved fame than you might think. From game show hosts to actors and authors to musicians and everyone in between, you might be surprised by the people you admire that have served in the military. We have 60 to showcase here, and there are even more that we didn’t even get to, meaning the population is quite large.

Kris Kristofferson

Country music singer and actor Kris Kristofferson followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the US military upon graduating college in 1960. Kristofferson enlisted with the Army and was a captain that flew helicopters, being stationed in West Germany. Kristofferson had then been given the opportunity to be a professor at the academy in West Point, but turned it down to focus in his music career, moving to Nashville and never looking back.

US Geography Quiz

Among the first things you learn in school in the United States is the country’s geography. With 50 states, it’s not easy to memorize all of them, especially where they’re situated on a map. We Americans get teased for not knowing many other smaller countries on the other side of the world when it comes to pointing them out on a globe, but that’s because we have enough states that we have to worry about in our own country. For those that have mastered the task (or at least think they have), we have just the quiz for you!

We’ll show you a map of the United States and highlight one state at a time. All you have to do is tell us which state is highlighted. Seems pretty easy, doesn’t it? Well, some states are easier to identify than others. Give this US geography a try and see how you stack up!

Xenia Ignatyeva was just 17 years old when she became part of this trend, climbing up on a railway bridge and taking a selfie. While trying to catch herself on the way down, Ignatyeva accidentally grabbed a live wire that shocked her, causing her to lose her balance and fall to her death.
